England Will Play Against Nigeria, Costa Rica In Warm-Up Games

Schedule of England for the friendly games or warm-up matches before 2018 FIFA World Cup has been announced. England will play 4 friendly matches before the Football World Cup. The England National Football team will play against Nigeria and Costa Rica in the warm-up games of 2018 FIFA World Cup. The first match will be played on 2nd June and second on 7th June 2018. These three teams have qualified for the 21st FIFA World Cup and are desperate to make another appearance in the World Cup. The three Lions will first welcome Nigeria at their Iconic stadium Wembley on 2nd of June.

  • 1st match: Against¬†Holland on 23 March 2018 in Amsterdam
  • 2nd match: Against Italy on 27 March 2018 at Wembley
  • 3rd match: Against Nigeria on 2 June 2018 at Wembley Stadium
  • 4th match: Against Costa Rica on 7 June 2018 at Elland Road.

Since last defeat at the hands of Iceland in UEFA Euro 2016, England has not lost any game so far. Back to back wins made them one of the qualified teams of 2018 FIFA World Cup. They were exceptionally well during the European qualifiers finished their group at the top spot and directly qualified to the finals.

These four games before the World Cup will actually help the blue lions to measure their strength and weakness. The friendly fixture against Italy would be the toughest game for the English team.

England is in Group G of 2018 FIFA World Cup. Being Champions of Group F in European qualifiers, England qualified for the Russia World Cup. This is their 15th appearance in the World Cup. They will play against Belgium, Panama, and Tunisia in the group stage games of the World Cup 2018.

England’s first game of 2018 FIFA World Cup will be against Tunisia on 18th June 2018 at the Volgograd Arena. It will be an away game for England. Thereafter they will face Panama and Belgium on 24th and 28th June respectively.
